They say he is old but hey 37 is not old, he is still young! Ray Lewis has been able to somehow keep playing at a top level and I'm sure damn proud that he is still one of the best Linebackers in the NFL. He is just like fine wine and gets better with age!

Before last season, people thought Reid would be a RT only due to a lack of footwork and quickness. Now all of a sudden, a lot of people think he can be the future LT. What changed with him? Not criticizing anyone, just wondering what happened to change opinions.

Great Article On Nfl.com About Upshaw And Ozzie's Draft Philosophy

Surprised it hasn't been posted already, it's a great read.

Quote

A tape measure doesn't always possess the answer, and neither does a stopwatch or scale. So much of scouting in football is based on measurables, but what Ozzie Newsome focuses on while watching game film can't be measured.

"You have to just see it," Newsome said.

The Baltimore Ravens general manager has built a perennial playoff participant through the draft, and he's done so by spotlighting the kinds of players the organization is now known for: Those who play like they'd do it for free.

Gritty, tough and with a love of the game. Hard-nosed, nasty and with a certain violence. If you were choosing sides for a street fight, think about how many Ravens you'd want on your team. Terrell Suggs. Ray Lewis. Haloti Ngata. And that's just the defense.

Outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw, the team's highest draft pick in 2012 at No. 35 overall, is only the latest example.

Michael Oher... Still Progressing Or Regressing?

Maybe im the only one, but i doubt it, but in the past ive noticed that he was always a liability on the Line, be it false starts, holding or just getting beat. I was curious to everyone elses observations on how well of a tackle you think he is, if hes gotten better or if its looking down hill. I would think his contract is up soon but im not sure, someone chime in, but im wondering if we resign him merely bc of the lack of talent on our front line. So what do you guys think?

Ray Lewis helped Michael Phelps rekindle his Olympic passion

The inspirational words of Ray Lewis extend beyond the football field. Michael Phelps recently told the Baltimore Sun that he credits the Baltimore Ravens linebacker with helping him work through his post-Beijing doldrums to rediscover his love of swimming.

Hilarious Webb

That all started when an old lady Baltimore Ravens fan I know, misheard the name "Lardarius Webb" a year or so ago when he was being pointed out to her. She thought the person said "Hilarious Webb." Pretty soon, seemingly everybody I knew was saying that. Hilarious and Lardarius switched meanings. Whenever something awesome happens, (say Tom Brady is sacked by Sizzle 'which sadly probably won't happen this year') we say "Lardarius!" or "That's Lardarius!" But whenever Webb does something good; I'll just say he picks Ben Roethlisberger, we say usually "Very Lardarius!" since Webb is related to the phrase. Webb is called "Hilarious Webb." It's turned out pretty well, especially since Webb is now one of the best players currently on the Ravens team. So far, only people I know say it, but I'm looking to expand it.
What do you guys think?

Rookie Impression

With the first day of Rookie Minicamp in the books, let's start discussing what impression our rookies have given off.

- Courtney Upshaw is already being used in multiple position. I have a good feeling that we found our next Adalius Thomas.

- Kelechi Osemele is physically gifted and I think he might make sure forget about Ben Grubbs sooner than later.

- Asa Jackson is playing with swag and confident that he can cover any player on the field. I think that type of attitude will add some heat to our CB incumbents that they better play with mental toughness and some swag.

- Tommy Streeter looks like a beast out there with his size. I think he has improved his hands. That 6th round investment is looking better than expected.

- Justin Tucker maybe could push Cundiff to the limit by taking the nothing to lose attitude. Kicking 55 yarders is a good way to impress since Cundiff was atrocious from long range.
